Scott "The Doctor" Treibitz is a pianist, composer, arranger, producer and has earned a Masters degree from the Mannes College Of Music. Being a lifelong fan of the Dead, Doc has the musical intellect to cover the styles of Grateful Dead keyboardists from all eras. Over the years Doc has performed, recorded and toured with a diverse list of artists: Star People, Infinite Mind Union, Danny Nova, Debbie Harry, Carmine Appice, Tim Bogert, Wide Awake, The Underdogs, Breaking Benjamin, The Zen Tricksters, ccound, Aangel, Transfusion M, Lori Michaels and The Lizards. As a member of the NYC Blues Devils, Doc has had the honor of opening for some great blues and rock legends including James Cotton, Muddy Waters and BB King himself. Doc's B3 organ expertise on the reunion recording of the Vanilla Fudge's "You Keep Me Hanging On" was featured in the very last episode of "The Sopranos". Doc is a vital addition to Half Step and has help raise the bar in the bands' musicality and authenticity.
